Ninan A sent me a youtube video that had a particular technique on it for playing double strokes. It seemed similar to the basic snare group technique. However, in reality it is a much more advanced technique. Very experienced percussion teachers like myself agree that there is a particular sequence of techniques to learn and master that will lead to the best technique. Each technique builds upon the last one. It is great to check out youtube videos on line, but try not to get ahead of yourself. You will benefit much more by making sure you master the skills in the order that I have set them up.
